People ask me when I started building culture. They expect me to point to a high-level meeting or a specific corporate milestone. If I am being honest, it started on the pool deck and in a high school leadership class. My 30-year legacy on the pool deck and in the corporate arena was the first testing ground for Heart Centered Leadership 3C Framework™.
Before building high-performance cultures, I was a 4-year-old girl on a starting block, terrified of the deep end. I didn't find my stride until my support system showed me a different way to start: back to the crowd, waiting for the starting gun, and the timers catching me with a soft hand before my head hit the wall.
That was my first lesson in Heart Centered Leadership 3C Framework™.
I spent my youth as a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and water polo player before stepping into the global corporate arena. I learned that culture isn't a "soft" initiative. It is the tactical application of our three core pillars:
